Data Creation & Data Entry
Data creation is for tasks ranging from basic data entry into
converting your data from a piece of paper into an electronic document.
Sometimes this involves creating charts, databases and graphs on short notice
for clients.
Capabilities
- Databases via Access and/or Excel — to keep and maintain electronic records of large size and quantity.
- Document Transfer into Adobe PDF — including flatbed scanner for print documents.
- Excel spreadsheets and graphs
- Word Processing
Example Projects Skagit IMS Has Done:
- As the webmaster of
www.skagitriverhistory.com, converting many documents into Adobe PDF and
at times either retyping or using OCR (Object Character Recognition)
software to transfer the text from paper documents into a searchable
document.
-
Assigned by Skagit County
Government the task of finding statistics on the Skagit River reservoirs
between 1995-1996 and 2005-2006 flood seasons and then
creating charts in
Microsoft Excel as the example shows.
-
The Hamilton Public Development
Authority (Hamilton PDA) asked Skagit IMS to enter 492 surveys, with
proprietary information, into an Access Database and prepare
a 14 page report giving the statistics of the answers and
recommendations on moving forward with floodplain management.
- Hamilton PDA requested in February-March 2008
for Skagit IMS to enter 47 surveys from Hamilton and prepare a 4-page table
for a
submission to the Skagit County Planning Commission on the relocation of
the Town of Hamilton out of the floodway.
